2010 Community Relief Fund Grants Available
Through a partership of the Paul Ogle Foundation, Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County, and the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, grants are being offered to local non-profits providing basic needs assistance to the community. Follow the link to the article for more information.

As part of its efforts to create great communities, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana spearheaded an effort to apply for major educationrelated grants from the Lilly Endowment Inc. Because of a successful collaboration, the Foundation, along with several community partners, was awarded two CAPE grants. CAPE is the Community Alliances to Promote Education grant program.
Becky King, director of the Floyd County CAPE grant initiative, says the Community Foundation has been a significant partner in the ongoing efforts to help children improve their reading skills in Floyd County. “The Community Foundation was not only the impetus for the CAPE grant, it has also continued to offer ongoing support to the initiative,” King says. “By bringing together diverse organizations, the Foundation offers our community a variety of perspectives to achieve goals.” | |
