Community Foundation Scholarship Applications

Available December 5

Beginning December 5, high school students throughout Clark and Floyd counties will have the opportunity to apply to receive generous, well-earned scholarships through the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana.

The Foundation’s scholarship program consists of over 70 scholarship funds established by donors desiring to assist students in Southern Indiana. Because of the generosity of these donors, over 100 scholarships are awarded to area seniors – helping them pursue their education goals.

“Our scholarships offer a sometimes life-changing opportunity to students in Clark and Floyd counties. It’s incredible, but in spring 2016 we awarded over 100 scholarships with a combined value of nearly $620,000,” said Linda Speed, President and CEO for the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. “We couldn’t be more thankful to our donors who make these scholarships possible and for positively impacting our community’s youth.”

The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana takes great pride in its efforts to maintain the anonymity of its applicants, tracking applicants by an application number as opposed to tracking them by their names. Business and community leaders from Clark and Floyd counties volunteer their valuable time to review the applications and ensure that scholarship awards are made to those deserving students who meet the criteria established within the individual scholarship funds.

Students interested in learning more are invited to visit the scholarship section of Foundation’s website www.cfsouthernindiana.com.

The online application will open December 5 on the Community Foundation’s website. Completed applications will be due to the Community Foundation by noon on January 31, 2017.
