Crystal Gunther serves as the Director of Community Philanthropy for the Foundation. In this role she implements and oversees the grant-making philosophy and associated activities of the Foundation and provides direction and support to the Foundation’s grant and scholarship programs. Crystal was recognized as one of Southern Indiana’s top 20 Under 40 by Business Source Magazine in 2013.
Crystal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Indiana University Southeast in 2001. She spent over 11 years in the banking industry before joining the Community Foundation in 2011.
Crystal is currently on the IU Southeast Board of Advisors, is a 2009 Leadership Southern Indiana graduate and served on the LSI Board of Advisors for several years. Crystal stays involved with a number of other organizations, including: Southern Indiana Mentoring Partnership Advisory Council, the Floyd County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program through St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities, Junior Achievement Success Skills Coach at Silver Creek High School, Hunter’s Brook Farm/Opening Gates and others.
