Linda S. Speed, J.D., is the President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. She has served in that role since 2010. She brings fifteen years of foundation leadership experience and expertise – a dozen years directly in the community foundation field – to her role at the Foundation. Prior to joining CFSI, her foundation work experience includes
seven years with the Community Foundation of Louisville where she most recently served as the Vice President of Development & Stewardship and two years as the Vice President of Gift and Trust Administration for the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation in Jeffersonville. Previous nonprofit work experience includes two years as the Planned Giving Manager for the Home of the Innocents in Louisville and seven years as the initial Director of the Samuel L. Greenebaum Public Service Program at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. She is a former litigation attorney with the Louisville law firm of Frost Brown Todd. She received her B.S. from the University of Kentucky and J.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Tennessee (inactive).
Linda serves on the boards of the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (where she chairs the Education Committee) and the Louisville, Kentucky-based Center for Nonprofit Excellence. She is a member and Past President of the Southern Indiana Estate Planning Council, the Kentuckiana Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and the Fund Raising Executives of Metro Louisville.
