Multicultural Outreach Council (2007-2013)

In 2007, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana launched the Multicultural Outreach Initiative. The funding for this initiative was made possible through a Lilly Endowment, Inc., Sustaining Resource Development grant awarded to the Foundation. The initiative was designed with two goals in mind: for the Community Foundation to have a better understanding of the expanding diverse population that was accompanying our growing community; and for the same population to have an understanding and engagement with the Community Foundation. The Multicultural Outreach Council (MCOC), which served as a liaison between the community and the Community Foundation, stemmed from the Multicultural Outreach Initiative.
