Giving with a QCD
NEW TOOL FOR YOUR CLIENTS
ONLINE FORM FOR QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) are a simple and smart way to establish a fund at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. Not only does your client’s QCD not count towards their taxable income, but their new fund could help them support their favorite causes in a planned and impactful way. Their fund could start a scholarship, support their church or alma mater in perpetuity, or even organize their annual giving into one, easy fund – a designated pass through fund.
By establishing a designated pass through fund at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana your clients can predetermine how much they want to give, who they want to give to, and when they want to do it. From there, the Community Foundation creates a fund agreement and we handle the rest – ensuring your clients’ grants go out in the time-frame and amounts they have determined.
To help make the process of starting a designated pass through fund at the Community Foundation even simpler (with little-to-no in-person contact during the COVID-19 pandemic), we have created a streamlined online form that you can complete with your clients. In a matter of a few minutes they can complete and submit their form and within 24 hours the Foundation will have a draft fund agreement for them to review. Once the fund agreement is final, all they need to do is direct the QCD to the Foundation and we handle the rest.
We invite you to learn more and see the online form here, on our website.
And, as always, we’re here to serve your charitable partner, so if you have questions about how we can help your clients, give, please give us a call at 812-948-4662.
Please note: We are still hoping to hold this CLE opportunity in person. However, if we need to change this to a webinar, or delay it until a later date due to COVID-19, we will communicate that with those who have registered.
