COVID-19 RELIEF FUND UPDATE
In mid-March we opened the COVID-19 Relief Fund with other community partners to address the immediate needs of individuals, families and small businesses hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This important Relief Fund continues to support the community and has distributed nearly $1 million back to our community. Over $307,000 of those funds have gone directly to nonprofits working to serve the most vulnerable populations of our community. In addition, the fund has passed through nearly $643,000 for loans to small businesses thanks to a partnership with One Southern Indiana and the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County’s Small Business Emergency Loan Fund.
We invite you to visit our website to learn more about the how the COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund is helping our community, see a list of grants, or make a gift to support these important and ongoing efforts.

If you know an area senior who is interested in applying for an opportunity to receive a generous, well-earned four-year scholarship through the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, invite them to apply for the Lilly Scholarship!
The scholarships are the result of a statewide Lilly Endowment Inc. initiative to help Indiana students attain higher levels of education. Two students each from Clark and Floyd Counties will be selected to be Lilly Endowment Community Scholars and receive the gift of a four-year scholarship.
In addition to full tuition to the accredited Indiana college or university of their choice, the students will receive a $900 annual stipend for books and equipment.
GIVE FOR GOOD LOUISVILLE
IS SEPTEMBER 17!
The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana is once again sponsoring Give For Good Louisville – the biggest day of giving in our region!
Last year, due in part to a Community Foundation of Southern Indiana $20,000 matching gift, 42 nonprofits in Clark and Floyd counties raised over $190,000 through Give For Good Louisville. The annual fund raising event hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville is designed to bring Kentuckiana together through donations big and small, so that we can support our local nonprofits and in turn have a greater impact on the communities around us.
CFSI is once again providing a $20,000 matching pool to be divided
proportionately among Southern Indiana organizations!
This is the 4th year the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana has sponsored Give For Good Louisville with a $20,000 proportionate match. The match is available to nonprofits based in Clark and Floyd counties.
This year, 37 nonprofits from Southern Indiana have signed up to participate!
So, if you have a favorite local charity that is participating in Give For Good
Louisville on September 17, we encourage you to use that day to make your gift through the Give For Good website so that your favorite cause can get their share of our matching funds. To find your favorite charity simply search by cause, name or location.
