CFSI Named ‘Top Investor’ Finalist for 2024 KY Inno on Fire Award

Community Foundation Nominated for Funding Organizations Throughout Kentuckiana

The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana has been named as a finalist in the “Top Investor” category of the 2024 KY Inno Fire Awards, a program of Louisville Business First. The organization is nominated for its work with people and firms that are funding companies and organizations in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

For the last three years, the KY Inno Fire Awards have honored startups and members of the local entrepreneurial ecosystems in Kentucky and Southern Indiana who have “been on fire” when it comes to growing their companies and the community.

Thanks, in part, to the nearly $6 million in grants awarded in 2023 – and more than $64 million cumulative over the past 33 years – CFSI is no stranger to investing in our community. In fact, the Foundation was initially established back in 1991 to create a permanent philanthropic resource for local communities. Today, the Foundation is investing directly into Southern Indiana by addressing pressing challenges, unlocking potential, and nurturing the seeds of growth and prosperity for everyone in our region.

“We are flattered and honored to be nominated for a KY Inno Fire Award. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to investing in our people and our community,” said Linda Speed, CFSI President and CEO. “At the Foundation, we take our role as a community investor seriously, and we are dedicated to fostering growth and positive impact across Southern Indiana. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the KY Inno Fire Awards for this nomination and to all those who support and believe in our mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our community.”
