The new Derby Week event celebrates the pivotal role nonprofits play in the community
The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana is excited to announce that it will be participating in Winsday: Great Thrills for the Greater Good, a new Derby Week event that celebrates community spirit and philanthropy.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. Thanks to a partnership between the Community Foundation of Louisville and Churchill Downs, Winsday will be devoted to uplifting local nonprofit organizations and spotlighting the crucial work they perform in our community.
By purchasing tickets through a participating nonprofit like CFSI, guests will enjoy a day at the races during Derby week and contribute directly to local causes. A portion of each ticket sale will support the organization’s impactful work around the Kentuckiana community.
What is Winsday?
Winsday is more than just a day at the track – it’s a fundraising celebration where every ticket purchased through our special link helps support our mission. (Plus, Churchill Downs is offering multiple ways for nonprofits like ours to win additional funds!)
How You Can Participate
- Buy Your Ticket – Secure your spot in the stands by purchasing your Winsday ticket through our special link.
- 100 Level Box Seating: $32 per seat
- 300 Level Box Seating: $39 per seat
- Reserved boxes are communal unless purchased in full.
- Dress to Impress – It’s Derby Week! Show up in your best race day attire and enjoy the electric atmosphere of Churchill Downs.
- Donate & Encourage Giving – The track will feature a QR code to the Nonprofit Directory, making it easy for attendees to support their favorite causes (like ours!).
Exciting Winsday Prizes
Churchill Downs is making Winsday even more rewarding with exciting prize opportunities:
- Charity Post Draw – Twenty (20) nonprofits will be randomly paired with a Derby horse, with a chance to win bonus funds based on their horse’s performance!
- Second Chance Drawings – If we’re not selected for the Charity Post Draw, we still have a shot at a $2,000 donation through a special drawing.
- Supporter Drawings – Every ticket purchased through our link enters guests into a random drawing where they could win an additional $2,000 donation for our organization!
